Every abandonment, every betrayal, every hateful act towards children returns tenfold a few decades later upon the historical stage, while every empathetic act that helps a child become what he or she wants to become, every expression of love toward children helps society and moves it in unexpected, wondrous new directions.

Before Seven Oaks, my 7 year old son would ask me to make him things for his games.
I did so willingly, though I did sometimes feel frustrated that he would not participate in the construction. However within two months of being at Seven Oaks, he had changed and started asking me if he could use various materials so that he could make the things that he previously didn’t think he could make himself. More recently, he rang a 19 year old family friend who is developing an on-line computer game to share his own ideas about how to make the game more exciting. The growth in his self confidence and creativity is remarkable.
